The sunlight problem

Your windows should brighten the room—not make it unbearable.

The room gets too hot

Afternoon sun overwhelms the room and makes the air conditioning work harder.

Glare takes over

TVs, monitors and everyday tasks become uncomfortable near bright glass.

Interiors are fading

UV, visible light and heat contribute to fading floors, furniture, artwork and fabrics.

Privacy disappears

Street-facing and bathroom windows leave you choosing between exposure and closed blinds.

Large glass feels vulnerable

Sliding doors and accessible windows raise concerns about broken glass and forced entry.

You still want natural light

The goal is not to cover every view. It is to control the parts of sunlight causing the problem.

Straight answers

Questions homeowners ask before requesting an estimate.

How much does residential window tinting cost?
Pricing depends on visible glass area, pane count, film, glass type, access and old-film removal. Use our instant estimator for a planning range; an onsite inspection determines the final written quote.
Will home window film make the house dark?
Only if you choose a darker film. Modern solar-control films range from nearly clear to noticeably tinted or reflective. We compare options so you can balance performance with daylight.
Can I see outside at night?
Usually yes with clear or lightly tinted solar film, although glass becomes more reflective when the room is brighter than outside.
Does privacy film work at night?
Frosted, opaque and blackout films provide dependable privacy regardless of lighting. Reflective daytime-privacy film does not provide reliable nighttime privacy when interior lights are on.
Will window film damage my windows or make glass crack?
The wrong film can increase thermal stress. Glass construction, coatings, edge condition, shading and orientation must be checked against manufacturer compatibility guidance.
Could film void my window warranty?
Window-manufacturer terms vary. We recommend reviewing the existing window warranty and the selected 3M film warranty before installation.
